Organic Urban Gardens

Welcome to Limerick City Organic Urban Gardens Project. In next few months you will see some very interesting developments. If you are interested in this project please contact us via this blog. We will be looking at various sites in Limerick City and working closely with organic gardens to develop these areas.

In the meantime check out

&

the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens based in Bristol, UK. They have much info on the website about how to start up a community garden, about testing the soil for contamination etc. and with a list of community gardens in the UK and some in Ireland. http://www.farmgarden.org.uk/

Feel free to post any ideas or links.

Regards,

Elaine

Hello. What a fantastic idea! I'd seriously be interested in helping in some way with any ideas you may have for starting a garden. Have you found any areas that would suit? Would Limerick Corporation actually help? Is there a grant of some kind available? Free labour is the biggest problem but I'm sure its possible. Where would you get bulbs and seeds from? How about tools? Lots of questions to be answered! Onwards and upwards....

Hi, I'm just wondering if this project is still live?
